I started learning the piano aged 7. I was lucky enough to come from a musical family. Playing on my grandads piano or hearing him play the organ made me see life in a different way.
Music gave me confidence.
I’ll never forget how at ease my teacher made me feel allowing me to learn at my own pace whilst always encouraging me to be better. This is something I am acutely aware of now, being a teacher myself.
Music is many things to many people but being able to play an instrument by yourself is something you can enjoy for the rest of your life. I have passed all ABRSM grades and have a BA Hons Degree in Music Popular Production as well as classical A levels and Music Theory.
